Are your kids going stir-crazy from being inside too much this winter? Join in the fun that is Fitness Class Training – an outdoor fitness club for kids aged 3-13 that meets on Sunday afternoons from 3-4 p.m. at the Conard High School Track from Feb. 25 through March 31.

During each hour-long session, kids run laps and do fun fitness activities with kettlebells, dumbbells, weighted balls, jump ropes, agility ladders – even push/pull a heavy sled – to earn special charms that kids love to collect.

The program is hosted by Fitness Class Training, a West Hartford-based non-profit started in 2020 by then 8-year-old George Udal who organized fitness classes for friends and family in his backyard to raise money for his favorite charities. Certified fitness experts and enthusiasts lead the program along with George who loves encouraging the kids to do their best.

Now in its fourth year, FCT has hosted dozens of fitness programs for adults and children including a popular afterschool program at Bugbee Elementary School and has donated over $50,000 to charity. All proceeds from this winter program will be donated to Dog Star Rescue’s Veterans Program.

Registration is $55 for the 6-week program and includes an FCT t-shirt and reward charms. Parents are encouraged to fitness/run with their kids and get to participate for free making this a great family activity to close out a busy weekend!
