West Hartford’s Deb Cohen, who started ‘The Front Door Project’ as a fun social media hobby, is featured in the photography section of Yankee Magazine.

Deb Cohen began taking photos of West Hartford’s front doors last spring as a hobby, combining her love of walking with her admiration for beautiful entrances.

The Front Door Project has been rapidly gaining popularity on Instagram, and when We-Ha.com profiled Cohen in late October, she had 1,676 followers. As of Dec. 23, that number has increased to 2,833.

The unique project also caught the eye of Yankee Magazine editors, who recently chose “The Front Door Project” as a holiday feature both on the home page and in the photography section of YankeeMagazine.com. “We were so smitten with Deb Cohen’s Instagram feed sharing the charming architecture and entryways in and around her West Hartford, Connecticut neighborhood that we asked her to select ten favorites for us to share with you.,” wrote the editor in the introduction. Thank you to Cohen for sharing a few of her favorite holiday doors with us, too!
