Four members of the Hall High School girls basketball team scored in double figures as the Warriors cruised to an 81-49 victory over Manchester High School at home in West Hartford on Tuesday night.

Olivia Bonee led all scorers with 21 points in the offensive outburst for Hall, while Olivia Deslauriers, Lexi Gellerman, and Maddy Mandyck chipped with 17, 11, and 10, respectively.

Coming off two straight wins to earn the Enfield Tournament championship last week, the Warriors’ victory advances their record to 5-2 on the season and extends their winning streak to three, which head coach Brittany Huggins said is up to the team’s standards.

“What they did tonight is the expectation,” said Huggins. “Running the floor in transition, sharing the basketball, communicating on defense, being aggressive on offense – that’s the expectation, and if we do that, we’ll be successful this year.”

Hall and Manchester traded baskets early in the first quarter, but after an 8-0 run to take a 12-5 lead, the Warriors never looked back. Hall ended the first quarter with a 20-9 advantage, stemming from a 4-0 run to end the period.

The Indians clawed at the lead to start the second quarter, trailing by as few as four, but the Warriors quickly built their advantage back up with another 8-0 run in the span of less than a minute to go up 29-17.

Hall only allowed Manchester to make a single field goal for the rest of the quarter, going to halftime with a 43-19 lead.

The Warriors built their largest lead of the night at 36 points on a layup by Bonee to open the fourth quarter and take a 66-30 advantage en route to victory.

Tyonna Tyson and Madison Glasgow scored in double-digits for Manchester with 15 and 12, respectively. The Indians scored 19 points in the fourth quarter, which was their highest-scoring quarter of the game and matched their first-half point total.

Both teams shot 50 percent from the free throw line. Hall went 5-of-10, while Manchester went 4-of-8.

The Warriors’ next game will be at Simsbury High School to play the undefeated Trojans (6-0) on Wednesday night at 6:45 p.m.
