The community is invited to attend Serve & Support: Hall High Tennis for ACEing Autism, a doubles tennis tournament supporting inclusive sports programming for children with autism.

The event will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at William H. Hall High School in West Hartford. Registration starts at 10 a.m., with matches beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Open to middle school, high school, college students, and adults, the tournament welcomes players of all skill levels with beginner, intermediate, and advanced divisions. Participants may register with a partner or be paired with one.

The fundraiser is organized by Hall High tennis players in partnership with ACEing Autism and Positive Tracks, with a goal of raising $1,000 to support autism-focused tennis programming.

Hall High boys tennis head coach Jim Solomon said the event reflects the program’s commitment to inclusion and community impact. “Hall Tennis has earned local and national recognition for our No-Cut philosophy, where every student is welcomed regardless of talent or experience. Supporting ACEing Autism is a natural extension of our program’s core values, and we are proud of our student-athletes for leading this initiative and embracing this cause on their own. They understand that while high school tennis is fun and rewarding for them, it can also be a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of others.”

Sophomore lead organizer Konstantinos Papasavas added, “At Hall Tennis, inclusion is at the heart of our program. When I volunteered at ACEing Autism clinics, I saw how tennis could bring joy and connection to children and families. That experience inspired us to get involved. This tournament is a chance for us to use sports to bring people together and make a difference. As student-athletes, we want to use our platform to lift and unite our community.”

“Seeing local student-athletes organize a fundraiser in support of ACEing Autism makes me incredibly proud,” said coach Craig Davidson, director of the local ACEing Autism program. “These young people have dedicated their time and energy to a truly meaningful cause, and they deserve to be commended for their efforts. ACEing Autism creates a fun, high-energy, and confidence-building environment for athletes and their families, and I felt it was important to bring a program like this to West Hartford. It’s wonderful to see the community come together to support such an impactful organization.”

Winning teams will receive prizes including open court time at Farmington Valley Racquet Club and Bloomfield Tennis Club, as well as gift cards from local partners including BIRDCODE, MAX Hospitality, and Ocho Café.

ACEing Autism is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children with autism build confidence, social skills, and fitness through affordable tennis programming.
