Throngs of young children enjoyed the Moms & More Halloween Stroll and other activities in West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017.
The sidewalks of West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square and the front lawn of West Hartford Town Hall were packed with an array of costumed characters Saturday morning for the annual Moms & More Halloween Stroll.
West Hartford Police Capt. Jeff Rose estimated that 5,000 people attended this year’s event, collecting candy from local merchants, many of whom were also in costume. There were craft booths and other fun Halloween-oriented activities to enjoy as well.
Some parents – and quite a few dogs – also showed up in costume.
Rose said that it appeared characters from Star Wars as well as Batman and Wonder Woman costumes were among the most popular. Other superheroes were also represented, as were policemen and firemen, princesses, animated characters, and ghoulish figures.
“Everyone had a great time,” Rose said.
