The Town of West Hartford and the City of Hartford will conduct a public information meeting regarding the Kane & Kennedy Brook Flood Study (Project).
Study Area
The study area generally includes drainage systems tributary to Kennedy Brook and Kane Brook within portions of West Hartford and Hartford, including areas along Prospect Avenue, Kane Street, and surrounding neighborhoods. Additional study information and mapping will be available at the meeting.

- Date: Thursday, September 10, 2026
- Time: 4:30-7 p.m.
- Open House: 4:30-5:30 p.m.
- Presentation /Q&A: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is to:
- Present the study scope, approach, and current findings
- Share existing conditions and known flooding concerns
- Present preliminary alternatives under evaluation
- Obtain input from residents, businesses, and stakeholders
- Identify community concerns and priorities to inform recommendations
Public input will be considered as part of the ongoing study and development of alternatives.
Parking access is available via Burgoyne Street. The facility is fully ADA accessible.
