To the Editor,
The Carpenter’s Local 326 Member Political Action Committee voted unanimously to endorse Sherry Haller for State Representative in the 20th General Assembly District representing West Hartford.
As Executive Director for the Justice Education Center, Sherry has dedicated her life to prevent and reduce crime and violence, strengthen local communities, and offer young people essential opportunities to achieve emotional wellness, innovative pathways toward educational success and sustainable growth in chosen careers.
We witnessed first-hand Sherry’s dedication and commitment as an advocate for skilled labor by supporting the creation of a pre-apprenticeship program that helps young men and women gain the needed skills to succeed in a career as a union carpenter. This innovative program opens the doors to technical schools throughout the state for after-hours training and summer programs.
Many politicians talk about changes and improvements they want to make. Sherry has dedicated her entire life to make our state better through her work as the Executive Director of the Justice Education Center and, therefore, we believe she is uniquely qualified to be the next State Representative of the 20th General Assembly District in West Hartford.
Sincerely,
Bruce Conroy
Chair
