To the Editor:

We can all agree today we’re blessed to live in West Hartford with our excellent services, school system, and vibrant business areas to include the rebirth of Park Road and New Park Avenue.

Likewise we all should be just as conscious with the future of West Hartford to be able to continue to afford to raise our families, build our businesses and even dream to retire within the very community we love. Frankly it’s a real concern to most of us.

Mary Fay, a member of our Town Council, businesswoman, resident and most importantly a mother is concerned about the financial stability of our town impacted by the $400 million unfunded liabilities we owe to our dedicated employees, the growing $4 billion state deficit, and significant infrastructure issues facing the 18th District to include rezoning of the UConn property and growing traffic concerns at Bishops Corner.

Councilwoman Fay represents the fabric and principles of our community with pragmatic approaches to solving many of the emerging issues facing the 18th District who will be an effective advocate for us in the General Assembly.

On November 6th please make the best choice and vote for Mary Fay, here to help us not just for today but for our future.

Thank You.
