Letter to the Editor: Support for Ben Wenograd

We-Ha.com welcomes Letters to the Editor from the public, including endorsements, but letters submitted by political candidates 60 days prior to an election will not be published. To the Editor,

I am pleased to endorse Ben Wenograd for re-election to West Hartford Town Council.

As a non-binary person, it was important for my wife and I to buy our first home in a community that was safe for an LGBTQ family. Ben has a lifetime of allyship with our community. He has worked hard to maintain housing affordability, environmental sustainability, and access to marriage for all. This year on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, he married my wife and I on the front porch of our new home in West Hartford.

I know that keeping West Hartford a safe place for people and families of all identities means keeping Ben Wenograd on Town Council.

I look forward to re-electing him on November 5th.

    • Wow! This is precisely why we need leaders like Ben! Thank you for proving that even in a place as progressive as West Hartford, we still must fight for our basic rights to even exist. Thank you John Hammer for encouraging and reminding us to stand up to bigotry and to celebrate the many different people who call West Hartford home by voting Row A on Nov 5th!
