To the Editor:

Vote Chris Williams Nov. 5.

I write to enthusiastically support my friend, Chris Williams, for re-election to the West Hartford Town Council. During his time serving on the Town Council, Chris has been a steadfast defender of – and shown compassion for – residents’ and businesses’ pockets and bottom-lines by advocating for a leaner and more efficient town government. He also has been a consistent voice in sounding the alarm on the town’s unsustainable budget growth and, importantly, has offered solutions such as opposing the growth of the the fire department into offering paramedic services.

Chris’ fiscal concerns for the town are very similar to those I have for our state which prompted me to run for the 5th District Senate Seat in 2016. Unfortunately, the state’s unsustainable fiscal issues have not been resolved but I hope that with the election and service of Council members such as Chris those of the town will be.

Chris grew up in West Hartford, is raising his two children in West Hartford with his wife Holly. He is a dedicated public servant as reflected through his service on the Conservation and Environment Commission, the Advisory Commission for Persons with Disabilities and as a Town Council Zoning Alternate before he was elected to the Town Council.

I would strongly encourage all West Hartford residents to support him on Nov. 5!
