To the Editor:
Next Tuesday, we’re not just voting for an individual. We’re voting for the type of community we want to be and the type of leadership that represents our community. I’ll be supporting Jillian Gilchrest because she leads with the values that matter to me: compassion, integrity, and a genuine commitment to improving people’s lives.
Career politicians have represented us in Congress long enough, speaking in platitudes without changing anything. Meanwhile, Jillian has spent eight years in the state legislature listening to her constituents, bringing people together and tackling the issues that affect families every day: from lowering costs and expanding access to health care to supporting quality education and helping small businesses thrive. She approaches public service with humility and a sincere desire to make our community stronger.
I believe character matters. I’ve seen enough to know that Jillian’s decisions are guided by what she believes is right, not by what’s politically convenient. She’s not afraid to speak up and create change. That’s the kind of leadership I want representing us in District 1.
If you haven’t already committed to a candidate, I hope you’ll join me in supporting Jillian Gilchrest in next week’s Democratic primary.
