New feature adds to the West Hartford and Farmington stores’ advanced-technology services.

The advanced technology services that have set Maximum Beverage apart from other liquor retailers keep on coming with the release of their mobile app available on all iOS devices.
“We’ve extended the interactive digital features available in-store to the mobile marketplace,” said Kevin Cowan, online and digital marketing director.
Several features have been built into the Maximum Beverage app. One feature allows patrons to request a particular type of wine or alcohol with a simple photo.
“With the app, customers can send us a picture of the wine, beer or spirit they’re drinking and we’ll do research and let them know how to purchase it. It’s perfect if you’re out to dinner and want to remember the delicious Chardonnay that you’re enjoying with your meal,” Cowan said. “We wanted to make it easy for everyone to use. With a click of a button you can order new wines and store them in your library to remember later.”
The app allows users to keep a personal portfolio of all favorite wines, beers, and spirits they take pictures of for future reference, he said, creating a virtual cellar with personal ratings and tasting notes.
Other features of the app include a calendar for special events and weekly wine, spirits, and craft beer tastings. The app also highlights weekly in-store promotions on top products. And while at the store, customers can scan custom QR codes to unlock special pricing and get more information on the product like food pairings or cocktail ideas.
