The NextGen Innovators Young Entrepreneur Market returns for its fourth event on Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Hartford Town Hall parking lot.

In case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, May 3.

This vibrant community event will feature dozens of local young vendors, ages 8-18, offering handmade products ranging from original artwork and crocheted goods to baked treats and other creative items. The market has quickly become a favorite local gathering, giving young entrepreneurs a chance to showcase their talents while inviting the community to shop, connect, and support small, homegrown businesses.

More than just a marketplace, the event creates a meaningful experience on both sides of the table. Vendors gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, learning skills like pricing, marketing, and customer interaction, while shoppers enjoy discovering unique items and directly supporting the next generation of creators.

This year marks an exciting shift as the market is being led by Dylan Albert, Logan Barash, and Noah Sadowsky, who previously participated as vendors. With guidance from founder Laura Barash, the trio is stepping into leadership roles to carry the event forward.

“This market means a lot to me because I’ve been a vendor myself and I understand what it takes to figure out an idea and run with it,” said Logan Barash. “Now getting to lead it with my friends is an experience like no other.”

The event continues to grow not only as a shopping destination, but as a celebration of youth leadership and community spirit in West Hartford.

“I’m excited to help create an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to sell items that are meaningful to them and learn important skills along the way, like marketing and communication,” said Dylan.

For many of the young leaders involved, the market is as much about community as it is about entrepreneurship, bringing together families, neighbors, and shoppers to support local youth in a meaningful way.

“It means a lot for vendors to see their hard work and innovations come to life, and I love that we get to help make it happen,” added Noah. “It’s also great to see our community show up and support them.”

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see these young leaders take ownership and oversee the event,” said Laura Barash. “The market has always been about building confidence, creativity, and community, and these boys have taken on this role with such commitment and enthusiasm.”

The NextGen Innovators Young Entrepreneur Market is free and open to the public. Individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend and support our young innovators.
