Homer’s epic “The Odyssey” is a staple of high school English classes all over the country. In Tom Smith’s adaption of the classic work, Odysseus and his crewman Pete must overcome many perils on their long voyage home from Troy, including an awkward teenage Cyclops named Polly, some Sirens crooning elevator music, and various other gods and monsters. Along the way, they both learn some hard lessons in trust, humility, and the power of brains over brawn.
This comedy features the talents of over a dozen students and is co-directed by Charles Faselle ’15 and Olivia Fenton ’15. This one night only event takes place on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Alice C. Mortensen Theater at Northwest Catholic. There is no charge for admission, but donations will be accepted.
Since 1961, Northwest Catholic’s mission has been to educate the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and soul. Enrollment for the Class of ’19 is now under way, and prospective students are invited to the Open House at Northwest Catholic on November 9, 2014.
