The latest edition of West Hartford Restaurant Week will begin Aug. 20, and 22 restaurants will be participating.

West Hartford Restaurant Week will return on Aug. 20, offering restaurant patrons not only a chance to enjoy a delicious meal at one of the town’s many dining establishments at a “value price,” but also furthering the “Dine for Good” cause.
Liz Kiyak, operating partner at Flemings Fine Steakhouse & Wine Bar, said that each restaurant will donate 5 percent of restaurant week prix fixe sales to Foodshare throughout Restaurant Week, which runs through Sept. 2.
“During the past two events we have raised over $20,000 for Foodshare,” she said.
“Foodshare is honored to once again be the beneficiary of West Hartford Restaurant Week. We hope that everyone will come out to support West Hartford’s restaurants and in turn, our neighbors who worry about having enough food for their families,” Jason Jakubowski, a West Hartford resident who is president and CEO of Foodshare, said in a news release.
“Last year, Foodshare provided nearly 11 million meals to our network of nearly 300 food pantries, meal programs and Mobile Foodshare sites, including those here in West Hartford. The proceeds from the inaugural West Hartford Restaurant Week provided thousands of meals to our neighbors in need here in Greater Hartford,” Jakubowski said.
Lunch prix-fixe menus will be $12, while dinner will be offered at $20, $30, or $40 price points and will showcase unique offerings at participating restaurants. A special menu for the week or discounts on existing menu items may be offered.

“Dine for Good” is a collaboration between The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, Foodshare, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, and is also supported by the West Hartford Center Business Association, Park Road Association, Elmwood Business Association, Bishops Corner Neighborhood Association, and the Home Design District.
West Hartford Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Chris Conway said the Chamber is excited to once again participate in restaurant week. “This joint effort among the Chamber, our restaurants, and Foodshare perfectly embodies this mission,” he said in the release.
