Tammy Exum Named Deputy Majority Leader

Tammy Exum of West Hartford, who represents the 19th District, was named deputy majority leader of House of Representatives.

House Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D-Manchester, East Hartford) announced Dec. 3 the appointment of Rep. Tammy Exum (D-West Hartford, Avon, Farmington) as deputy majority leader of the House of Representatives.
“Rep. Exum has proved to be a dedicated and passionate advocate for her constituents,, and I know she will bring those same qualities to the this position as we look to hit the ground running in the new session,” said Majority Leader Rojas.
“I wish to thank Majority Leader Rojas for granting me the opportunity to serve in this important position,” said Exum. “We have challenges and opportunities facing us during this legislative session. I look forward to serving and supporting leadership in this new role.”
In this capacity, Exum will be responsible for aiding the majority leader with developing policy, crafting the agenda of the majority party, and ensuring operations run smoothly on the floor.
Exum currently serves on the Banking, Environment, and the Government Administration and Elections committees.
