As part of West Hartford Center’s annual Holiday Stroll, The West Hartford Festival of Trees will be back for the third year in a row, taking place this year on Dec. 1, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., in the First Church Auditorium, 12 South Main St., West Hartford.
We invite you to support the event by creating a tree to donate!
Decorate an artificial tree (with lights if you wish) to reflect your interest, business, or use a holiday theme. Some past trees are shown below, to inspire creativity. Incorporate your products or services into your theme, taking advantage of the opportunity to enhance your organization or cause’s visibility. All donated trees will be raffled to members of the public.
First Church is a registered 501(c)(3). A receipt can be issued as your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Complete the registration form on-line at http://www.whfirstchurch.
[UPDATED] Delivery of trees will take place Sunday November 27, 12-2:30 p.m. Please enter the parking lot from Farmington Avenue, near the corner of North Main Street and enter building via the rear rotunda entrance. You may do any assembly or decorating of your tree once it’s in the room.
A $5.00 suggested donation will allow visitors to view all the trees on display, listen to holiday music and enjoy refreshments. For an additional cost, visitors may take a chance at winning a tree through a raffle. Please see the First Church West Hartford website for rules and more information at www.whfirstchurch.org/minis
Nearly 1,000 people attended last year’s Festival and more than $3,400 was raised and donated, through First Church’s outreach program, to organizations including, but not limited to, Habitat for Humanity, Loaves and Fishes and Food Share. More organizations will be added this year, including The Bridge Family Center.
