West Hartford resident Joanna Kornafel was in a vehicle that was headed north on Prospect Avenue on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 5, when she noticed a potential security breach of the gate and fencing surrounding the mansion on the Hartford side of the street that’s the residence of Gov. Ned Lamont.
“There was a black bear crossing the street so we slowed down, and the bear climbed up and over the gate! ” she shared in a message to We-Ha.com. “Here is photographic evidence.”
We don’t know what happened next – and what type of security alert this may have triggered – but will add those details if they become available.
