Inbound calls to Town of West Hartford offices and schools were disrupted on Thursday, but according to an update at 2:14 p.m., all service was restored. [Updated]

The Town of West Hartford said late Thursday morning that a problem with the phone carrier is impacting all inbound calls to all West Hartford Public Schools, Town Hall offices, the Public Schools administrative offices, the Noah Webster Library, West Hartford Fire Department Headquarters, the five fire stations, and the Fairview Cemetery office.

At 2:14 p.m., town officials said the problem was fixed and all service had been restored.

All phone lines have now been restored to Town and School facilities.

The West Hartford Police Department is not affected, and 911 service is operational.

The service disruption is not affecting outgoing calls, and anyone who needs to reach town staff is urged to use the staff directory to email and request a callback.

• Anyone needing to contact someone at one of the high schools or middle schools can call 860-929-5350.

“We apologize for the inconvenience while the phone carrier actively works to resolve the issue,” a spokesperson said Thursday. No timeframe for the resumption of service has been provided.
