There were more than 40 booths providing attendees with entertainment, educational information, and food and drink at West Hartford’s Earth Day Family Festival, hosted by Sustainable West Hartford in partnership with other organizations, celebrated on Saturday, April 20 on Isham Road and in the courtyard of Blue Back Square.
Deputy Mayor Ben Wenograd welcomed the crowd, which numbered in the thousands over the course of the four-hour event, and shared the news of the Town Council’s recently-adopted resolution marking the town as a pollinator-friendly community.
There was live music, giant puppets, still walkers, and other activities at the very successful event.
