In honor of St. Francis’s feast day, the First Church of Christ, UCC of West Hartford will hold an afternoon service: “All Creatures Great and Small”, on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m.

Held on the front lawn labyrinth of the church (or in the Auditorium if weather is inclement), the service will be lead by Rev. Geordie Campbell and Rev. Nanette Pitt. The service is open to the public who are asked to have dogs on leashes and cats and smaller animals in pet carriers.

First Church is at 12 South Main Street, on the corner of Farmington Avenue and South Main Street in West Hartford Center.

Rev. Geordie Campbell, Senior Minister, reminds us: “There is nothing like the affection and love between a human being and one of God’s creatures we call pets!  In fact for many people, the closest experience of unconditional love is the purr of a beloved cat or the wag of a special dog’s tail.” All are welcome, we hope you’ll join us.
