West Hartford Art League Issues Call for Artists for ‘Exposures’

Photographers interested in participating in the West Hartford Art League’s ‘Exposures’ must apply by Jan. 29.

The West Hartford Art League is holding its 26th annual juried photography exhibit, Exposures 2021, Feb. 11-March 14 in its two galleries on Buena Vista Road.

The exhibit will be juried by Robert Lyons, director and founder of the International Limited Residency Photo MFA program at the University of Hartford Art School. Lyons lives and works in Portland, OR and has taught extensively in the USA and Europe at various institutions including Emily Carr College of Art and Design, University of Washington, Photographic Center Northwest, International Center of Photography and the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin, Germany.

Lyons has received many awards including a MacDowell Residency in 2009. His work has been featured in numerous publications including the New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Vogue, and Travel and Leisure. His work has been widely exhibited in the United States and is in numerous permanent collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Seattle Art Museum, Microsoft Corporation, Portland Art Museum, and many others.

Exposures 2021 is open to all photographers. Alternative process, digital and traditional photography is encouraged. All work must be current and not have been shown in any other exhibit within the last year.
