West Hartford Community of Concern Hosting Teen Wellness Fair & Student Art Show

Middle and high school students and caregivers are invited to a free, fun-filled Wellness Fair on Saturday, April 5, from 1-4 p.m. at West Hartford Town Hall!
This lively event offers something for everyone – pizza, music, games, prizes, crafts, fitness activities, a therapy dog, and more. Connect with school and community organizations offering valuable health and wellness resources. Don’t miss out on these exciting activities:
Student artwork with the theme G.L.O.W. Up: Mind, Body & Soul will be featured during the fair. Students are invited to submit art by March 31 with this form: https://forms.gle/
Art & Yoga open studio and workshop sessions will provide an opportunity to connect with one’s inner self and build confidence. The way we move and carry ourselves can influence our emotions. Uncover how the time-honored practice of yoga and the creative outlet of expressive arts can transform your internal state. Workshops are from 2-2:45 p.m. and 3-3:45 p.m. and limited to 12 people per session.
Youth QPR Training is a suicide prevention training to recognize the warning signs of someone in crisis and question, persuade, and refer people at risk for help. Teens and adults can sign up to attend this training from 1-2:15 p.m.
Parent workshops about middle and high school engagement and supporting teens with anxiety and depression will be available for caregivers at 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., respectively.
