The evening before “March for Our Lives,” Westminster Church will host a time of open dialogue around the issues of school safety and gun violence.
Parents, teachers, students, and friends are invited to come to this safe space for conversation, sharing, and support. This evening will be facilitated by Rev. Julie Emery and supported by Dr. Jason Emery, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in working with teens.
The conversation will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 23 from 7-8 p.m.
Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 12:30-3 p.m., the March for Our Lives will take place in Hartford.
The organizers of this non-violent event urge students, friends, educators and concerned citizens to come out and march on Saturday, March 24 and demand that the lives and safety of every student become a priority.
Anyone interested in marching as a group may meet at the Westminster Presbyterian Church parking lot (2080 Boulevard in West Hartford) at 11:30 a.m. on March 24. We’ll caravan to downtown Hartford and plan to meet again at the March For Our Lives starting location (on the grounds of the State Capitol) by 12:30.
