The West Hartford Exchange Club will host its annual golf tournament on Friday, Oct. 6, at Rockledge Golf Club in West Hartford.
This year’s tournament will again be a memorial event to honor the late Jack Haeflich, a member of the Exchange Club for 45 years. This annual fundraiser which the club has been hosting for 27 years will once again benefit the prevention of child abuse as well as other community donations that the Exchange Club presents each year.
According to golf committee chairman Conor Bradley, this tournament regularly gets a great turnout for the day which includes the golf, as well as a luncheon, awards, and raffles. The cost of the tournament is $125 per golfer.
Please call Conor Bradley at 860-874-1718 or email him at [email protected] to reserve your spot as well as to purchase tee sponsorships.
The West Hartford Exchange Club’s mission is to make its community a better place to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse. The club sponsors the West Hartford Police & Firefighters Annual Service Awards and provides annual scholarships to Hall and Conard graduates. The club also donates to a variety of local charities.
Jack was one of my father’s friends. My dad (Roy Christensen) was for many years the top seller in the West Hartford Exchange Club’s citrus fruit sale to benefit the prevention of child abuse. When he died in 2001, our chosen charity for memorial donations was the KidSafe (in Vernon CT) which is associated with Exchange Club for the prevention of child abuse. http://www.kidsafect.org/
