The West Hartford Food Pantry has put out a request for donations.

Donations to the West Hartford Food Pantry typically decline this time of year and will continue to decrease throughout the summer, creating a challenge for the families we serve.
The Town of West Hartford appreciates our community’s continued support in stocking the food pantry shelves so we can help our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
The West Hartford Food Pantry is low on these items. Please consider picking up a few of these items the next time you shop:
- Cereal
- Canned fruit (15 oz.)
- Canned Soup (19 oz.)
- Ravioli (15 oz.)
- Spaghetti (16 oz.)
Please note: We cannot accept open and/or expired items.
If you shop at the Stop and Shop at 1235 Farmington Ave. or 176 Newington Rd., they generously have donation bins as you exit the stores.
Otherwise, donations may be left on the carts in the Town Hall Lobby, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For larger donations, the carts may be taken to your vehicle and then returned to the lobby.

I am commenting on the crazy line markings on the Boulevard between Ridgewood Rd and down to just before South Main Street.
I fear there will be many accidents when people adhere to the movement of traffic so many times especially at night or in slippery weather. I myself was temporarily blinded by the headlights of oncoming cars turning in my direction so many times, to zig-zag at night, and wondered how many accidents will be caused because of it.
