West Hartford Police responded to an alarm at the Wise Old Dog, at 612 South Quaker Ln. at 5:13 a.m. Thursday morning, and said that the front glass door had been smashed and items had been taken.

Police said that they reviewed surveillance footage, which showed two suspects entering the store and fleeing with items. According to police, it appears that cigarettes and alcohol were taken.

Lt. Eric Rocheleau said that there is no description available of the suspects in Thursday morning’s incident, but both appear to be male.

This is the third time in just over a month that burglars have struck the Wise Old Dog.

On Aug. 29, at 1:13 a.m., police said that a suspect smashed through the front door and stole a large number of liquor bottles. On Aug. 11, at 4:51 a.m., a suspect also gained entrance to the store and stole an undetermined amount of liquor.

Police said that it appears that the same man is the suspect in the Aug. 11 and Aug. 29 incidents. He has not been identified.

No arrests have been made in any of these cases, police said.

Anyone with information about either of these incidents is asked to contact police at 860-523-5203.
