West Hartford Police Arrest Second Suspect Wanted for Armed Robbery of Family Dollar Store

West Hartford Police had obtained a warrant earlier this week for the arrest of a suspect, and apprehended the man on Friday.

A suspect wanted in connection with the is July 10, 2018 armed robbery of the Family Dollar Store at 939 New Britain Ave. was taken into custody on Friday afternoon, West Hartford Police sid.

On Tuesday, West Hartford Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Luis Henrique Santos.

Santos, 20, was located in Hartford and arrested on Friday afternoon without incident, police said.

Santos was charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and is being held on $300,000 bond.

Two suspects were involved in the July 10 armed robbery, police said.

According to Hartford Police, Samuel DaSilva, 18, of Flatbush Avenue in Hartford was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with first-degree robbery with a firearm.

West Hartford Police Det. Sgt. Tony Anderle said that the weapon used in the armed robbery has not been recovered.
