Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford is pleased to announce that Beth Casey Boyle has accepted the position as the school’s new director of Advancement. Boyle is a 1996 graduate of the school and is currently its director of Alumni.
After a comprehensive, national search, the Advancement Search Committee comprised of current board members, school administration, and alumni unanimously selected Boyle for the position.
Boyle began her career at Northwest Catholic in 2005 as the director of Technology. In 2017, Boyle was appointed director of Alumni LEADS, a new initiative that combined the school’s existing leadership program with alumni outreach and mentorship. A year later Boyle transitioned full time to the Advancement Office and became the school’s first director of Alumni.
Boyle’s versatility, intelligence, interpersonal skills, and vast experiences allowed Boyle to shift roles with grace and fervor. After executing several new alumni initiatives at Northwest Catholic and reinvigorating the school’s alumni network, it is clear that she is the right person to lead the Advancement Office into the new decade, which will include the school’s 60th anniversary and execution of a newly-minted NWC Vision 2021 Strategic and Master Plan.
As a graduate of Northwest Catholic, Boyle enjoys a long history with the school. As a scholar athlete and graduate of NWC’s signature HILL Program, Boyle has travelled internationally with many students and has spearheaded a new HILL 2.0 initiative to expand immersion learning through HILL alumni outreach. She has already connected with thousands of fellow graduates in her various roles leading to this prestigious appointment, and she has collaborated with parents, teachers, and students over the past 15 years. Her connections to the NWC community are deep and meaningful.
President and Head of School Christian J. Cashman had this to say regarding Boyle’s appointment: “With faith, humility, determination, and good will, Boyle has worked on so many strategic projects and with countless constituents at Northwest Catholic. She is a warm and welcoming representative of the school who gives of herself and is wholly committed to the NWC mission. I am confident that Beth is exactly the sort of leader and ambassador Northwest Catholic needs in this next phase of our development. Beth’s energy, focus, professionalism and tenacity will allow her to clearly articulate the value proposition of Northwest Catholic to the wider community. I know the NWC family will enthusiastically embrace Beth Boyle in this vital role!”
When asked, “What’s next for NWC Advancement?” Cashman offered, “Certainly we want Beth to get out and make as many connections as possible with our alumni community, parents, friends and benefactors. I have also asked her to work closely with our philanthropic consultant, Partners in Mission, Inc., to devise the best possible structure and strategic direction for our Advancement efforts leading up to the 60th anniversary. This is an exciting time to be part of the NWC vision and mission.”
Boyle has a deep connection with Catholic education, beginning with her early experiences as a student at St. Thomas the Apostle School in West Hartford; graduating from Northwest Catholic, Central Connecticut’s premier Catholic high school; as well as earning her Bachelor of Science from Fordham University and a Master’s in Teaching from Sacred Heart University. She and her husband, Kevin, and sons, Casey and Jack, live in West Hartford.
