West Hartford Trash and Recycling Pick-Up Delayed, Other Schedule Changes for Labor Day Holiday
Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, is a state and federal holiday.

Due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, the following collections will be one day late after the holiday: Trash, “A” week recycle, “A” week yard waste, bulky waste, and metal collections.
Monday’s collection area will be done on Tuesday, and Tuesday’s collection area will be done on Wednesday. Each remaining day for the week of Sept. 2 will be one day later. Friday’s area will be picked up on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Holiday closings
Town Hall, public schools, the community center, senior centers, libraries, and the Yard Waste & Recycling Center will be closed on Labor Day, the national holiday.
Closed for maintenance
Veterans Memorial Skating Rink will also close for maintenance and cleaning from Aug. 27 through Sept. 9. The rink reopens on Sept. 10.
