The Second Annual “Best of West Hartford Awards,” presented by West Hartford Magazine and We-Ha.com, will be revealed at an awards show coming to West Hartford’s Town Hall Auditorium, Sept. 8, 2016 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Best of West Hartford Awards will showcase West Hartford’s best restaurants, stores, services, and activities – as voted by the people!
The Best of West Hartford awards show will feature passed hors’ d’oeuvres and other light appetizers, beverages, entertainment, and teacup auction items presented by West Hartford’s business associations, and is a great networking opportunity with other professionals. The awards show is open to the public and tickets are available online for $48 in advance at We-Ha.com. Tickets will be sold at the door for $60 (if available).
“We are thrilled to have the support of the community coming together to recognize the great talent that we have here in West Hartford,” says Tom Hickey, publisher of West Hartford Magazine and We-Ha.com. “This year’s event is especially exciting because we are working with some new organizations that are bringing fresh ideas to West Hartford, making this amazing town even more incredible.”
A true Reader’s Choice Poll, finalists are chosen by fans of West Hartford businesses, using an online “virtual voting booth” where registered participants can pick their top choices in 49 categories. Categories include: Family, Health & Beauty, Nightlife, Retail, Food/Drink/Dining, and Services. Voting is open now through Aug. 31, 2016.
Registered participants are asked to vote for their top nominees – one per category – and all voting will be conducted on We-Ha.com. No one will know who WINS until the evening of the Awards Show … just like our very own West Hartford Oscars. CPA Tom Filomeno, principal of Filomeno & Co., will hold the WINNERS names under lock and key until that evening. Because of this and the fact that only one vote per email address is permitted and validated, no one can alter the outcome. The people must VOTE in order for a winner to be determined. Participants will automatically be entered to win four general admission tickets to the event.
