Queer Prom is an annual event for LGBTQ+ identifying high schoolers to express themselves at a safe and affirming prom. This year the event will be back in person after two years virtually, and it’ll be better than ever.

The 27th Annual Queer Prom will be held on June 18, 2022, from 6-9 p.m. at West Hartford Town Hall and will feature a live DJ, drag performance from the Imperial Court of All Connecticut, and plenty of pizza and snacks. Entry is $20 suggested donation.

The event is accessible to all, and no student will be turned away for inability to pay.

The theme this year is Once Upon A Time: A Fairytale Prom. Dress code is semiformal – get creative! Please dress appropriately.

This event is for high school students only, but attendees can be from any high school in Connecticut.

Those wishing to attend can sign up here. While sign-up is not required, organizers said it is helpful for logistical purposes.

The event is being sponsored by Prudential, and donations are also welcome to sponsor students, with a $20 donation defraying the cost of each students’ attendance.

More information can also be found on the Facebook event page.
