American Legion Is Calling All Veterans for Coffee and Donuts

American Legion and Dunkin’ Donuts have teamed up to provide coffee and donuts for all Veterans on May 20.

The event will go from  8:30-11 a.m. at the American Legion Post 96, located at 45 Raymond Rd., West Hartford.

Post Commander Ken Hungerford stated, “As we approach Memorial Day, a time when we remember those who gave their all for our nation, we wanted to give Veterans the opportunity to gather and remember their time in service to our nation. We reached out to Dunkin’ Donuts and they were honored to join us for this event.”

The event is open to all Veterans and up to three hours of free parking is available in the town’s Isham Garage. Veterans are asked to bring their parking ticket with them for validation.

Dunkin’ Donuts locations in West Hartford are managed by GAD Inc., Plainville, CT.

Multi Units Manager Eddy Desouza stated, “We thank the American Legion for the opportunity to recognize our Veterans during this Memorial Day period.”

With a current membership of 2.4-million wartime veterans, The American Legion was founded in 1919 on the four pillars of a strong national security, veterans affairs, Americanism, and youth programs. Legionnaires work for the betterment of their communities through more than 14,000 posts across the nation.

The American Legion of West Hartford is open to military veterans who have served during a wartime era and military personnel currently on active duty.
