Braeburn School unveiled and dedicated a new Buddy Bench Friday that will be placed by the playground in the back of the school.

The West Hartford community raised money by using a GoFundMe campaign, and dedicated the bench to the teachers who retired this past June, so their legacy remains on the grounds of Braeburn. Michele Aniello, Karen Kulak, Karen Gravel, and Deb Sacharko were present and special guests at the Back to School bash Friday night. In all the event was attended by several hundred people.

The Buddy Bench is particularly meaningful to these teachers because they not only ensured academic success for all of their students but also fostered the social/emotional values of kindness, respect, and inclusion.
