The 2018 Children’s Charity Ball is days away – on Saturday, Jan. 20 – and for the first time in 18 years, the Bridge Family Center will host its event in a new venue: Marquee Events in Downtown Hartford, which many local residents may remember as the former G. Fox Building.
“We are sold out,” says Amanda Aronson, director of Marketing & Communications and event coordinator. “The response to this year’s event has been tremendous. And while we can still accommodate a couple of single guests, and probably one couple, we are now on a wait list for tickets. We encourage anyone who would like to attend to call, since last-minute guest cancellations may occur.”
In addition to a new venue, the 2018 Children’s Charity Ball will also hold its Silent Auction via mobile bidding and has made some other subtle changes to keep things fresh.
“Our guests are in for a wonderful evening,” adds Aronson, “Our planning committee has really outdone themselves this year with regard to our auction items, and our sponsors and community donors have been generous. We are really excited!”
The Bridge Family Center is the Youth Service Bureau for the Town of West Hartford, operates the Town’s Teen Center and Family Resource Center, and also has three mental health clinics. It serves as a Tier One Provider of Residential Support for the Department of Children & Families and offers independent living programs to help launch young adults into the world with support.
