Dr. Stan Walker, currently of West Hartford, checked off an item from his bucket list when he had the opportunity to meet two members of the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame Band, “The Beach Boys” – Michael Love, one of the band’s original founders and Bruce Johnston, who joined the band in 1965.

Dr. Walker was in attendance to see The Beach Boys perform at the Trantolo & Trantolo Charity Concert Series on Aug. 17, 2019 to raise funds to help build The Boys & Girls Club of Hartford’s new Southend Club. Scott Trantolo, Chief Operating Officer of Trantolo & Trantolo, LLC, arranged the meeting between Love and Walker.

The concert was held at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, attracted approximately 6,000 fans and raised over $75,000 for The Boys & Girls Club of Hartford.

That is not Mike Love. That is Bruce Johnston, a long time but not founding member of The Beach Boys.
