Ever-mindful of staying safe during the pandemic, this year the Buena Vista Property Owners Association held a unique Annual Holiday Party for children and adults.
More than 75 adults and children came to pet the adorable alpacas from the Round Hill Alpaca Farm and purchase lovely handmade (and warm!) scarves, socks and hats for the winter. Delicious pizzas and salads were served by the Family Brick Oven Pizza Truck, and the afternoon was topped off by a visit from our West Hartford Fire Department announcing their arrival with their siren and horn.
“It was a fun-filled day of giving and greeting neighbors whom we haven’t seen in many months,” said Sherry Haller, president of the Association. “Neighbors donated toys for the fire department’s Toys for Tots Drive, food for the West Hartford Food Pantry, and warm clothing for the winter months ahead.
“It is times like these that we are reminded of how wonderfully caring and generous our community is,” she said.
