If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet for the 2019 Children’s Charity Ball, you might want to do it soon. Tickets are still available but are selling steadily and are on pace with last year’s sell-out event.

The Ball, which benefits the West Hartford-based Bridge Family Center, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Marquee Events in Downtown Hartford, and complimentary valet parking will be provided by LAZ Parking.

This year’s Ball is extra special. It will kick off the 50th anniversary of the Bridge Family Center, and Honorary Chairs are longtime Bridge friends and supporters, Rob and Dawn Koff and Bob and Debbie Katz.

“It’s an emotional time for us here at the Bridge,” noted Amanda Aronson, Event Manager. “So many people are reaching out to share their appreciation about the work we do in the community, sponsors and auction donors are being generous, and people we haven’t seen in a while are joining us for the event to help kick off our 50th year.”

Aronson added, “The Bridge serves the West Hartford community deeply as its Youth Service Bureau. We work with all of the West Hartford Public Schools, and we are the operators of the Family Resource Center and Teen Center. One of our three mental health clinics is right here in the Center, and we provide emergency shelter for children ages 11-17 – and that is just part of the work we do. There is so much more. People seem genuinely excited to come together with us to reflect on how much the Bridge has grown, and they want to help fortify our mission for the years ahead. It’s been moving to say the least, and we hope that as many people as possible will come out and join us at the Ball to support the quiet and discreet work the Bridge does every day to keep this community strong and safe.”
