From that point on, Conard took control of the game. A barrage of goals widened the gap, and the Red Wolves never looked back. The final score was 18-6 in Conard’s favor.
Goal scorers also included Ben Walsh, Jordan Lawson, Gabe Sullo, and Torin McGoldrick. Shaffer had a standout performance, scoring eight goals and recording three assists. Several of Shaffer’s goals were assisted by McGoldrick, Brady Cersosimo, and Walsh.

But the victory wasn’t due to one player alone. As Coach Cersosimo said, “I wouldn’t say it was one particular player. I’d say it was a culmination. Our team did a great job – sharing the ball on offense, playing strong team defense, and clearing the ball well. That’s a full team effort.”
Conard, 7-1, is currently ranked sixth in Class L. They will be back in action at home on Saturday, hosting top-ranked Cheshire. That game begins at 12:30 p.m.
