Conard High School is proud to recognize Purit Butsapak, Ryan Lafferty, and Rushil Yerrabelli as Semifinalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Over 1.6 million students in more than 22,000 high schools across the country entered the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2021 PSAT, also known as NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test). The pool of Semifinalists is less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors. The 16,000 Semifinalists in this year’s National Merit Scholarship Program will now compete to become a Merit Scholar.
This spring, the National Merit Scholarship Program will announce which college-bound students will receive a portion of its $30 million in scholarship funds, money provided by hundreds of businesses and universities who share NMSC’s goals of recognizing the nation’s most academically accomplished.
