The heart is the most complex organ of the body, but the leading cardiology practice in Central Connecticut is making it even easier to find extraordinary care. Consulting Cardiologists, PC is opening a new office at 433 South Main St., Suite 109 in West Hartford in early October. This will be the independent cardiology practice’s ninth location in the state.
“This may be a new address for us, but we have been proudly serving the West Hartford community for the past decade,” explains Dr. Kevin Tally who will be heading up the new office. “To meet the increasing demand for exceptional cardiology care, we decided to upgrade and move to a facility that is larger, more convenient, and enables us to staff more doctors in this area, as well as provide an even wider array of testing services. We are committed to getting patients in as quickly as possible.”
This expansion caps off a year of incredible growth for Consulting Cardiologists, PC. At the start of 2019, Consulting Cardiologists, PC and Cardiology Associates of Central Connecticut, LLC, merged to become the premier cardiology practice in the Central Connecticut region. Additionally, the practice is actively looking to another location in early 2020 in order to serve a whole new area of the state.
This summer, the practice added two outstanding new doctors from top academic institutions. Dr. David Jay Altszuler received his specialty training in cardiology at New York University, where he was recognized for clinical excellence and was actively involved in scholarly research. Dr. Norman Roth is a Connecticut native who completed his residency and fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
“As scientific advances continue to improve the diagnostic and treatment options available to our patients with cardiovascular disease, we continue to be at the forefront, a commitment which the practice has demonstrated from our start more than 35 years ago,” says cardiologist Dr. William Farrell.
Dr. Jeffrey Walden also notes that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women and affects nearly half of all American adults. Not only does Consulting Cardiologists, PC offer the most advanced diagnostic tests right in its offices, but the team of over a dozen physicians and advanced practitioners place a strong emphasis on educating their patients on how to live heart-healthy lives. “We pride ourselves in putting the ‘heart’ in cardiovascular care by focusing on the individual needs of each patient. We take the time to know each patient, develop relationships, and educate patients and their families on heart-related issues. We also are able to offer cost-effective care. Since we perform all testing in our offices, even basic tests such as EKGs can cost significantly less than if performed in an outpatient hospital setting”.
The group provides the full spectrum of cardiac services. Diagnostic services include non-invasive testing and interventional cardiology. The board-certified physicians have extensive expertise in coronary artery disease, heart failure, valve disease, arrhythmias, pacemakers & devices, cardiomyopathy, cardiac transplantation management, and peripheral vascular disease. They utilize the most innovative technology and their nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and vascular testing facilities are all nationally accredited.
When patients require hospitalization, the group sees patients at Hartford Hospital and MidState Medical Center. Consulting Cardiologists, PC uses a state-of-the-art electronic health records system that allows patients to access their health information through the patient portal.
Patients can be seen in the new West Hartford location starting Oct. 8. An official ribbon cutting for the West Hartford location with staff, officials, and community doctors is scheduled for early December.
“Our patients can count on superior, high quality cardiovascular care, delivered in a compassionate, respectful, and responsive manner,” concludes Dr. Tally. “We look forward to sharing our unique model of care to people across Connecticut in a location that is close to home.”
