Hundreds of dogs enjoyed fun, food, and drink at ‘Yappy Hour’ in West Hartford’s Blue Back Square.

The balmy spring evening was just right for sharing an early evening drink or treat with good friends in an outdoor setting, and that’s exactly what hundreds of dogs did Thursday night at “Yappy Hour” in Blue Back Square.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes – from petite Yorkies to brawny German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers – had the chance to socialize, sample special treats from local businesses, and drink from communal water bowls. There was a “best dressed” contest, and a step and repeat photo opportunity just for the pups.
There was plenty of entertainment for dog owners and other guests, too – including human “treats” from NoRA Cupcake Company and Bear’s Smokehouse.
Donations were also collected in support of Our Companions Animal Rescue.

Loved seeing so many different fur children. Cracker, Lucy, and I are very sorry we couldn’t be there. Thank you for the pictures.
