In a joint initiative to prioritize child safety, Montessori School of Greater Hartford (MSGH) partnered with the West Hartford Police Department to host a complimentary car seat safety check for families of MSGH on Wednesday, Dec. 6. The collaborative effort aimed to provide the community with valuable information related to the correct installation, adjustment, and usage of car seats, ultimately enhancing the safety of children while traveling in vehicles.
During the complimentary car seat safety check, Ofc. Kenneth Stebbins and Ofc. Peter Kisela not only offered hands-on assistance but also performed an educational function, empowering parents with the knowledge needed to maintain the safety of their children in vehicles. Families left the event with properly installed car seats and a better understanding of the importance of ongoing vigilance in child passenger safety.
Bill MacLean, MSGH’s facility manager and head of the Safety Committee said, “People were getting answers to long standing questions, which was a sign of a successful event!”
As we navigate the roads during this holiday season, the collaborative efforts of MSGH and the West Hartford Police Department serve as a reminder that community partnerships play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our youngest passengers. MSGH remains committed to community well-being, and this partnership is just one example of their dedication to fostering a safer environment for families. Montessori School Greater Hartford looks forward to future alliances that contribute to the overall health and safety of the community.
