The Family Resource (FRC), operated by the Bridge Family Center, is now accepting registrations for the 2019 Circle of Security Parenting Program, an eight-week, research-based program in West Hartford that supports and strengthens a parent or caregiver’s ability to understand and respond to a child’s emotional needs.
“We are pleased to once again offer this program to parents, grandparents, and caregivers in the community. Through video examples, handouts and reflective dialogue, participants will explore their parenting experiences in a safe environment while building skills to encourage healthy growth and development in their children,” said Deborah Zipkin, director of the FRC.
Classes will be held on Thursday evenings, April 18 through June 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the FRC, located within the Charter Oak International Academy at 425 Oakwood Ave. in West Hartford. Class fee is $36.00 and childcare for children ages 4 and up is provided. To register, contact the FRC at 860-929-5575.
The Bridge Family Resource Center (FRC) offers an integrated system of family support services that enhance parenting, promote family involvement with the schools, and help children succeed academically, socially and emotionally. The FRC makes its home at the Charter Oak International Academy but also offers selected programs at other elementary schools in West Hartford.
