Throngs of young children enjoyed the Moms & More Halloween Stroll and other activities in West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015.

What seemed to be thousands of costumed kids took over the sidewalks of West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square, and the front lawn of Town Hall, collecting candy and engaging in other fun Halloween-oriented activities.
Some parents – and quite a few dogs – also showed up in costume. Superheroes, policemen and firemen, princesses, and other animated movie characters mingled with some ghoulish figures. All seemed to be having a great time on a crisp October morning.
This weekend was also the launch of a special scarecrow contest.
