Patrick Flaherty, economist with the CT Dept of Labor’s Office of Research with over 20 years of experience in analyzing the Connecticut economy, will be presenting “Is This What A Recovery Feels Like” on Wednesday, May 27.

Flaherty, a former state representative from Coventry, is also an instructor and a current Ph.D. candidate at UConn.  Come early for this presentation which runs from 8 to 11 a.m. at Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Avenue, West Hartford.

The economy has been growing, but job growth has lagged. Connecticut still has not fully recovered all of the jobs lost during the recession. Some industries have grown more than others. Come find out what industries have added the most jobs over the past year.

All the latest data from 2015 will be presented. Flaherty will discuss the challenges and opportunities that job seekers face as the result of the State’s continued sluggish growth. He will describe and demonstrate some the many on-line job search programs available through the Connecticut Department of Labor’s website.

While there is no fee for attending, you are encouraged to register for this event by emailing [email protected] or call 860-236-1927 to learn more about the JETS program (JFS Employment Transition Services).
