As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Established in 1921, the Junior League of Hartford plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of in the Greater Hartford region. With more than 300 members, the Junior League of Hartford is an organization of women who care. These active volunteers focus their time and resources on elevating our mission to develop women’s leadership for meaningful community impact.

The Junior League of Hartford’s current community impact focus area is addressing the impact of systemic poverty on women and families in Greater Hartford. We partnered with Journey Home and the Diaper Bank of Connecticut, awarding each $9,000 in grant funding and volunteering nearly 100 hours with each organization in the last year.

Outside of our volunteer work, Junior League members gain access to exclusive leadership training opportunities, participate in fun social events, and collaborate to throw exciting fundraisers like our 16th Designer Show House, coming Spring 2025.

We accept new members twice a year (September and January), and our next class will begin September 2024. When new members apply, they are invited to join a 4-month class that provides them with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in the Junior League of Hartford.
