The West Hartford Art League’s Member Juried Exhibit opens Dec. 10 in the Saltbox and Clubhouse Galleries, with 85 works of art juried by award winning artist David Lussier, of New Hampshire.

Kimberly Scoble, a West Hartford resident, was awarded “Best in Show” for her oil painting “Trio.”

Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, and are by appointment only now in an effort to allow the public to visit safely with their “pod” of up to five people. Visits are scheduled for 20 minutes in each gallery.

“With COVID numbers rising, we wanted to help people feel safe while visiting our galleries, Executive Director Roxanne Stachelek remarked. “By making an appointment in advance, and knowing that you will only be in our space with your group. We hope this will encourage people to come in and view the art. We think it’s important to stay open as long  as we can do so safely.”

Appointments can be made online at http://westhartfordart.org/book-a-gallery-timeslot

The Members Juried exhibit will be on display in the the West Hartford Art League’s two galleries at 37 Buena Vista Road through Jan. 17, 2021.
