Emergency officials have been busy throughout the state responding to Tropical Storm Isaias, but in West Hartford they also had a very “sticky situation” to resolve.

State Police posted the following on Twitter Wednesday morning:

“It’s a sticky situation in West Hartford this morning where a tractor trailer carrying a load of molasses rolled over on Interstate 84 Eastbound. Right & center lanes and exit 40 closed. Seek alternate route!”

The “Corbin’s Corner” sign on I-84 was knocked down, and debris was scattered on the highway as well on New Britain Avenue below.

There were no injuries, state police said.
