The public is invited to a bake sale at West Hartford’s Morley Elementary School Friday afternoon, with all proceeds being donated to Ukrainian relief.

The Morley community, which has a long history of giving back to the community, will be holding a bake sale on Friday, March 18, from 3:15-4:15 p.m.
“The bake sale was the idea of a Morley family who are connected to the region affected by the war in the Ukraine, and the personal story of the mom who was originally a refugee herself,” said Pia Santomauro of the Morley PTO.
All proceeds from the sale of baked goods, along with monetary donations made at the event, will go to the American Red Cross/Ukrainian Humanitarian Crisis Fund.
Organizers said that in addition to baked items supplied by the Morley community, Small State Provisions and Big Y are also donating to the bake sale.
All baked goods for sale will be marked with notification about eggs, gluten and nuts. Venmo and cash will be accepted for payments/donations; use the Morley PTO Venmo (@MorleyPTO) and state “Ukraine support” in the “What’s it for?” section.
